DraftHistorical buildings we are working to bring back. We started with the Occidental, now home to the Occidental Fine Arts Center, featuring the Beautiful Things exhibition this summer.
Every film here was made by bringing historical photographs back to life.
Draft: these are placeholder videos we are still refining.
The Waltham Building, now Occidental Fine Arts
The historic Waltham Building in Pioneer Square, purchased in 2024 and the first one we restored. It is now fully restored and open as the Occidental Fine Arts Center, a working studio and gallery, home to the Beautiful Things exhibition on view this summer. Our goal is to bring more art to Seattle.
The Vendome and Seven Seas Building
An 1890 brick landmark on First Avenue, across from the Seattle Art Museum, built one year after the Great Fire by architect William E. Boone, a descendant of Daniel Boone. It opened as the Hotel Vendome for Klondike-bound miners, later became the Seven Seas Hotel and Tavern, then the Sultan, and finally the Lusty Lady before it was sealed in 2010. Purchased in 2023.
5th and Pike, the Coliseum of Art
Seattle's 1916 Coliseum Theatre at 5th and Pike, designed by B. Marcus Priteca and widely called the first theatre in America purpose-built for motion pictures, purchased in 2024. We have potential plans to restore the Coliseum, depending on public interest, and we are awaiting the city's response. Next up there: Winter Lights, opening November 27.
